Dr. Shady Hayek explains what portions of the face determines what facial injections are used.
Upper half of the face: This is an area where Botox is most commonly used. This is used to calm over working muscles in the facial region which combats the development of wrinkles.
Lower half of the face: this is where fillers are used because most issues are related to fat atrophy or changes in the positioning of fat in the face. Fillers are used to fill these fat lacking areas to return the face to its former fuller look.
