Botox in the Where?
Recent trends have shown that men are now feeling more comfortable undergoing cosmetic or plastic surgery procedures. The latest in some men’s grooming routine is “scrotox”. So gentlemen, if you’re feeling a little low, your saggy scrotum will no longer be a problem with this new treatment.
Past procedures required invasive surgery to fix the appearance of the scrotum. The recovery period would be approximately 4-5 days and would include swelling, bruising and scarring. Using Botox to fix the area allows for quick recovery and very little pain or swelling.
In order to give your boys a pick-me-up, the treatment injects botulinum toxin (Botox) into the scrotum. Depending on the area, a patient may need anywhere between 20-30 injections. The injections give the scrotum a smoother appearance, relaxing the skin, and can even make it appear larger.
The general feedback is that it is a pretty pain-free experience. A doctor will apply a topical cream to numb the area to ensure this. The whole procedure takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Patients can experience slight discomfort and sensitivity to the area for a few hours after the treatment. Costs vary from $500 to $800, depending on how many injections are needed. You can expect to see results in about a week.
The effects of the Botox last about 4 months, after which patients would need to return for further injections to keep up the desired appearance.
The “scrotox” treatment is relatively new, and not much is known in regards to side effects. If you are interested in giving yourself a little lift this year, consult your doctor to see if this is an option for you.
