After completing her general surgery residency at Hennepin County Medical Center, Dr. Luong received her training in plastic surgery at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, where she was on the staff for several years. Since joining Midwest Plastic Surgery in June 2005, she has specialized in breast surgery and cosmetic surgery.

For patients seeking breast surgery, Dr. Luong utilizes up-to-date techniques as well as her technical and aesthetic skills as a surgeon. She’s performed numerous breast augmentations and breast reductions, and she is highly skilled and experienced at performing breast reconstructions, including tissue expander/implant reconstructions, direct to implant reconstructions, and free TRAM/DIEP reconstructions.

For patients seeking a rejuvenation of their appearance, Dr. Luong offers a customized approach to a variety of cosmetic surgeries and nonsurgical procedures. These include facelifts, eyelid surgery, breast lifts, abdominoplasty, liposuction, as well as Botox/Dysport and fillers. She has been accepted into the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which recognizes accomplished, experienced surgeons who specialize in cosmetic surgery of the face and body.

Dr. Luong is passionate about her profession, as she believes that reconstructive and cosmetic surgery can enhance people’s lives by building their self-esteem and confidence. It’s why she is actively involved with the Fairview Breast Center and frequently lectures on topics affecting women’s health. She also supports Hope Chest which provides financial assistance to women with breast cancer. She gives back by mentoring high school and college students considering careers in medicine.
