LipoLite Laser Liposculpture is a minimally invasive body sculpting treatment that removes fat by combining the fat-melting capabilities of medical lasers with the suction of traditional liposuction. This results in fat removal with less discomfort and trauma and faster healing than normal liposuction.

Lipolite Liposculpture uses controlled laser energy to gently destroy fat cells with targeted heat, permitting them to be removed with considerably less trauma to the encompassing tissues and resulting in a recovery period that is far shorter. Additionally, the laser’s heat encourages the production of collagen, which can result in a tightening of the skin in the treatment area.

Lipolite Laser Liposculpture has several advantages over regular liposuction, including:

  • No need for general anaesthesia
  • Faster recovery time
  • Less trauma
  • Less blood loss
  • Less discomfort
  • Less bruising and swelling after the procedure
  • More precise results
  • Encourages growth of new collagen, which tightens the skin

How is it performed?

After your surgeon has numbed the area to be treated with local anesthetic, they will make a small incision through which a thin metal tube, called a cannula is inserted. This cannula is used to emit highly focused optical laser energy which gently heats fat cells causing them to break apart. This liquefied fat and any other fluids used in the proceduere, like saline solution, are then sucked out via the cannula. The entire Lipolite Liposculpture treatment usually takes between 30 minutes to one hour for each area and is performed on an outpatient basis.

Is it right for me?

Lipolite liposculpture is a great treatment option for addressing stubborn pockets of fat that do not respond to exercise or diet. It is suitable for both men and women who are in good general health and who are either at or close to their ideal weight.

Lipolite may not be a good choice for you if
• you have an autoimmune or blood disorder
• you are more than 25 pounds over your ideal weight
• you have a chronic health condition
• you wish to remova a large amount of fat
As with any medical procedure, it is your body that determines your suitability and so it is essential that you discuss your options with a doctor before a treatment is scheduled.

What result can I expect?

The results of Lipolite liposculpture will usually be evident immediately after your procedure and you will see them continue to develop over the following 6 to 8 weeks as your body adjusts to its new shape.

Although the fat cells removed during your Lipolite liposculpture are permanently gone, patients should continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle and take up regular exercise to prevent fat from returning to the treatment area.

Consideration

Pros

Because Lipolite is a gentle technique, it offers several benefits when compared to liposuction and other body contouring treatments. For example, Lipolite:

• is less invasive
• causes less discomfort during and after the treatment
• causes less blood loss and injury to encompassing tissues
• is able to treat smaller pockets of fat
• offers very precise results
• does not require general anesthesia
• requires minimal recovery downtime

Aftercare

After your Lipolite procedure is complete, you may notice some slight bruising and swelling in the treatment area which, although may cause some discomfort, should resolve itself within a day or so. Any minor pain can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication. You can expect to return to your normal routine within 1 to 2 days.
