Plastic Surgery After Pregnancy

Pregnancy is an exciting, life-changing experience. During this time some changes can occur to your body that do not reverse once your bundle of joy arrives. If you are feeling less than your best since your pregnancy, there are plastic surgery procedures that can restore your pre-pregnancy body giving your appearance a restorative lift.

Breast Enhancement

The breasts can go through significant chances throughout pregnancy and the breastfeeding process. Drooping, sagging and a deflated appearance are not uncommon and can be distressing for some (who want to restore their pre-pregnancy figure). Breast enhancement is a way to give breasts the boost they need. Some post-pregnancy breast enhancement options are:

Breast Augmentation

Using implants, your surgeon can add size, volume, correct asymmetries and give your breasts a more proportionate shape.

Breast Lift

This surgery addresses sagging and drooping breasts, restoring them to a more youthful position on the chest.

Breast Reduction

After pregnancy and nursing, a breast reduction can remove excess skin and tissue to improve overall comfort and appearance.

These procedures are usually performed on an outpatient basis, using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. Most patients are back to their regular schedules within 1-2 weeks.

Body Contouring

The breasts are not the only part of the body that see significant changes during and after pregnancy. The midsection goes through an expansion to accommodate a growing baby. Many women find after their baby is born, their midsection does not look like the same, compared to their pre-pregnancy figure. Even if they reach their pre-pregnancy target weight, they may still have pockets of isolated fat or extra skin around the midsection that just won’t respond to a diet or exercise routine.

A body contouring procedure is helpful in this case and offers two options:

Liposuction – A minimally-invasive technique that removes small pockets of fat from nearly any area of the body. Liposuction can be performed alone, or in conjunction with other body contouring procedures for an even more dramatic result.

Tummy Tuck – This surgical procedure removes excess skin, tissue and fat from the midsection, while tightening up abdominal muscles and repositioning the navel for a smoother, natural abdominal contour.

Facial Rejuvenation

To minimize signs of age and fatigue, a facial rejuvenation can often be successfully done without surgery, anesthesia or downtime. Some options include:

Ultherapy – This treatment uses targeted ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production and create smoother, firmer skin.

Microdermabrasion – A full exfoliating treatment that removes the outermost layer of skin cells, revealing softer, smoother skin underneath.

Injectable Fillers – A quick and relatively painless way to smooth away wrinkles or add volume and definition to areas like the cheeks or lips.

Botox – This go-to anti-aging treatment relaxes facial muscles that lead to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

me mommy makeover was the life saver. After my twins I ended up like a jelly.
My tummy had loads of excess skin and my breasts dropped to my belly. Imagine
how terrible it looked. It took me years to save for this surgery but honestly
I did not want anything more than to look good again. It was longer journey and
I would not say it was not painful at all, but it was worth the pain after the
surgery. It only lasts for about few weeks but the feeling in new body is just
great. I had my best friend traveling with me and she was big support when I
was at Forme clinic. It was good to have someone close and good help when
carrying the luggage or so. Now it has been a year and I love my new body and I
do not even think about how I looked before.
