I am looking to enhance my side profile. Can I have more info on the procedure, what recovery time looks like, costs, and some before and after photos! Thanks

Dear Jack Green,
Augmentation of a small under projected
chin can be performed using soft tissue fillers such as Voluma or Restylane and
can achieve an 8-12 month result and give patients a sense of what a more
projected chin would look like. The
advantages of this procedure are that it is reversible and safe. Fat transplantation to the chin can provide a
long-term soft tissue enhancement and the advantages are that it is a natural
component and unlikely to react with your body.
The bone itself can be broken and
shifted and moved forward in a permanent chin augmentation. The advantages are it is autogenous, your own
bony tissue and will not result in wear or charge of the underlying bone as can
occur with the final option which is an artificial chin implant. Artificial chin implants usually are made out
of silastic or Mentor can be inserted through the mouth minimizing the scar and
give a nice improvement of the projection of the chin.
I’ve been performing cosmetic plastic
surgery for over 20 years and offer a variety of chin augmentation solutions.
Best of luck.
